3Squared is a highly ambitious rail technology specialist with an exciting opportunity for a B2B Sales candidates to help drive company growth.

We are seeking a high impact and consultative Sales Manager with proven B2B field sales experience. The role will involve working with prospective customers in the Transport & Rail sector to grow the sales of our highly successful RailSmart® suite of products, as well as our bespoke digital solutions.

This critical role will be accountable for the management and execution of business development plans which strengthen and deepen our client relationships.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Sales Manager will establish and manage sales engagements, the development of growth strategies, and expand the pipeline of partners. This individual will be responsible for capturing business opportunities, leading proposal activities, and developing presentation materials to support business development activities across the spectrum of potential opportunities.

What you’ll really be doing:

  • Programme planning and execution of pre and post-sales activities. Providing insight to senior management on program execution activities, status, and issues
    business development and sales
  • Identifying new business opportunities and partner relationships.  Developing and executing strategic growth plans across the total opportunity set.
  • Developing relationships with key industry partners, system integrators, primes, and subcontractors
  • Contributing 3Squared activities to deliver first-rate repeatable proposals and responses

 How you’ll be doing it:

  • Representing 3Squared’s ethos and principals. Work with prospective clients as a trusted partner
  • Be self-motivating and comfortable working within a target driven environment
  • Being a great listener, matching your approach to customer requirements and values, and able to understand what potential members need
  • Using your consultative sales approach to secure new clients across a variety of new business development lead generation approaches from cold calling to presenting to sector groups

 Key deliverables will include: 

  • Targeting specific opportunities to deepen and broaden relationships
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
  • Writing business proposals
  • Increasing client base
  • Negotiating with stakeholders
  • Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements

Skills and Experience:

  • You will have an engaging communication style, able to build authentic and collaborative relationships with stakeholders
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, or key account management roles at complex organizations while interacting directly with customers is required
  • Business Development or sales experience in a Systems Integrator/IT Consulting, technology solutions environment
  • Direct experience in the transportation & technology sectors with a particular focus on Rail is desirable
  • Strong and capable leadership skills with emphasis on collaboration and cross-organization communications
  • Highly evolved network of professional contacts and colleagues in both industry and government
