We hire for attitude and raw talent, everything else can be fine tuned.
Lack of curiosity and unconscious bias are not welcome in our candidate selections. We blind screen CVs and don’t take candidates at face value in interviews.
We don’t recruit for ‘culture fit’, that just means we end up hiring the same kind of people, we hire for ‘culture enhancement’. We recruit for people who share our value of respecting each other, including respecting each other’s differences.
We hire to fill our gaps. There are no egos here, we recognise our weaknesses and can compensate for them by hiring people who are ‘better than us’.
The Interview Process
In interviews we listen and hear. We understand that job hunting and hiring is very much a two-way street, so you’ll always have the opportunity to question our hiring managers during the interview too.
Fair isn’t the same as equal with our hiring. We may adapt our interview style and process to allow a candidate the best possible opportunity, but no individual will be given an advantage over someone else. We always aim to undertake a process that allows a candidate to show their best self and if we think that merits a different approach from other candidates, we’ll do it.
