The 21st Rail Business Awards was a great success for 3Squared which was hosted at Hilton Park Lane in London last night with 4 customers all picking up awards.
GB Railfreight received the Digital Technology Excellence award for its collaboration with 3Squared helping to develop the RailSmart Remote Condition Monitoring solution which provides access to real-time locomotive data supporting the proactive maintenance of its fleet and continued monitoring of driver train regulation.
Managing Director Tim Jones commented “We are really proud of this achievement, it is fantastic to be recognised by the industry for our work with GB Railfreight helping them to improve operational performance.”
Additionally the RDD project provides GB Railfreight with live driver data that feeds directly into the company’s flagship competency management solution RailSmart EDS. This new real-time view of driver train regulation does away with traditional data downloads and allows the safety and performance team to target those drivers that needs the support the most.
Finally, recognition was also given during the award announcement for the development of RailSmart ORS. A next generation staff rostering solution built from the ground up to support effective allocation and optimisation of staff within today’s modern operators.
